Thetford

Short Tennis

Short Tennis (sometimes called Soft Tennis) was first played in Japan in 1884 and has been growing all over the world ever since. It is similar to tennis but played indoors on a smaller court with a lower net, a soft light foam ball and a shorter racket. Rules are simple and easy to learn. It is a good sport to keep active, improve hand to eye coordination and memory. It is suitable for all ages and is fun to play. The group meets for one hour every Tuesday 12pm to 1pm at Thetford Leisure Centre (except school holidays). Rackets are provided for newcomers. Wear loose comfortable clothing and good trainers. When you enter the Leisure Centre, tell the receptionist that you are playing Short Tennis and she will let you through. Go straight on, through double doors, along a short corridor (toilets are on the right) and the main hall is straight on.

Experienced players or complete beginners are always welcome. Cost is £2 per session

Group Leader is Julian Fabian 01842 761506 or 07762743536
